Ayako Ueda was born in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from the art university, she started her career editing for fashion/culture magazines at several major publishing companies in Japan. She became to a freelance writer and was eager to start working on a global platform.
She moved to Los Angeles in 2006. Besides writing for Japanese magazines, she began working as a planner for the apparel company in Venice, CA. She moved to her base to New York in 2009 and broadened her professional experience as the editor/writer/journalist.
